Mercedes-Benz Adds Name to Famous Edifice

Enthusiasts love many things Mercedes-Benz luxury cars and they really love how Mercedes-Benz has the ability to gracefully execute the unexpected. A recent example of this is their branding of a suite of Mercedes-Benz fashion weeks. How is it they pull off stilettos just as well as legendary AMG wheels? In a word: Charisma. And, it is this special something, or je ne sais quoi if you will, that has just landed them 10 years of naming rights over the world-renowned Louisiana Superdome.
Mercedes-Benz announced the deal, together with the New Orleans Saints, leaving traditional methods of achieving brand exposure to the other guys. And, while the decade-long agreement is an obvious touchdown for the tri-pointed star, it's also more than a few field goals for the Saints.
According to reports, funds from Mercedes-Benz are anticipated to serve in lieu of assistance provided by the state. To give you some idea of what this means in dollars and cents...The Saints received over $186,000,000.00 worth of aid, in a lease that expired in 2009. Take into account inflation, and that number has likely grown significantly.
Speaking on their latest team member, Tom Benson, Owner, New Orleans Saints said, "The investment being made by a premier international brand who believes in 'the best or nothing', is a tremendous compliment to all of those who worked so hard to make the stadium what it is today."1 Equally excited over the collaboration, Stephen Cannon, VP, Marketing, Mercedes-Benz referred to the Superdome as an , "icon for rebirth."2
When will you get to see the Mercedes-Benz Superdome? If you don't live close by, right from your living room, anytime you're watching the Saints' home game...and while you're watching the 2013 Super Bowl!
