Many luxury cars like the Mercedes-Benz C350 have received the AMG treatment throughout the years. Given the progressing advancements in performance and the areas of suspension and engine capability, having an AMG logo added to your vehicle is quite the honor.

As suggested to fans at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series, a limited edition model, might be available to order from Mercedes-Benz of Honolulu in Honolulu and Mercedes-Benz of Maui in Kahului within the next year. Though the luxury car maker hasn't decided if the E-Cell variant (a hybrid electric car) will come to America.

Speaking to Motor Trend, Director of Vehicle Development at Mercedes-AMG Tobias Moers said, "We absolutely have to do a Black Series" of the SLS.¹

So, what makes SLS AMG Black so special, aside from its gull-wing doors? How about a 6.3-liter V8 engine to start. This powerplant produces approximately 600 horsepower and an outstanding 499 lb-ft of torque.

We'll see if this car makes it stateside, and just how powerful it's performance is when driven in real world conditions.
