Preview of the 2019 C-Class Sedan
For 2019, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan is getting a few small changes to its powertrain, exterior, and cabin—but not a complete redesign. In a few years, the C-Class, along with other new Mercedes-Benz vehicles, will move toward a cleaner look with minimal character lines. For now, Ewa Beach and Waipahu drivers can expect alterations like slightly stronger engines, new paint colors, optional wireless charging, and more.
Probably the biggest change in store for the 2019 C-Class Sedan is more powerful engines. The upcoming C 300 will still sport a 2.0L turbo inline-4 engine, but its horsepower will be increased to 255 hp. Torque isn’t expected to go above or below 273 lb-ft. The AMG® C 43 is also getting a power boost; its 3.0L biturbo V6 will generate 390 instead of 362 hp.
Along with stronger engines, the C-Class is getting a few small exterior changes. For starters, it’ll be offered in two new metallic colors: Emerald Green and Mojave Silver. New chrome-plated trim and LED headlamps are also in the cards, as well as the optional Intelligent Light System found on the E-Class and S-Class.
New Interior Options
The C-Class interior features Ewa Beach drivers know and love will carry over into 2019, but there will be some exciting new additions! Here’s what’s expected:
- Optional 10.2-inch display
- Optional COMAND® navigation with a refreshed 3D mapping system
- Optional Car-to-X Communication (allows drivers in certain Mercedes-Benz models to communicate with one another)
- Optional touchpad controller—now with haptic feedback
- Optional wireless charging for your devices
