What is Service A?

Service A is the first of a two part required maintenance schedule for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. There’s no need for you to keep track of when it’s time to stop into your local Mercedes-Benz dealership as the Maintenance Service Indicator will keep track of it for you. Service A maintenance (for MY09 and newer)** is normally done when your vehicle hits around 10,000 miles or 1 year of ownership, but could vary depending on a handful of factors. Such factors include things like regularly driving in wet environments, frequently being involved in stop and go traffic, consistent towing, and other similar driving habits.

Regardless of what factors are contributing to the exact time that you have your scheduled Service A maintenance done, you will have plenty of notice, as the system will alert you roughly a month before you are required to bring the vehicle in for servicing. You will again receive alerts when it is time to schedule Service A and when you are late on scheduling Service A.

What Does It Include?

Service A is a great way for trained and certified Mercedes-Benz technicians to ensure that your vehicle is running as efficiently as it should be. This scheduled maintenance can be looked at as similar to going to the doctor for a checkup, but for your vehicle. Typically, Service A for all Mercedes-Benz models includes:

  • Synthetic Motor Oil and Filter Replacement
  • Fluid Levels Check and Correction
  • Multipoint Inspection
  • Wiper Blade Sets
