What is the Recommended Service B Interval?

Service B is the second of two main scheduled vehicle maintenance intervals for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. This service normally takes place about a year after Service A or when your late-model car (MY09 and newer)** reaches the 20,000-mile mark. The exact timing of your Service B scheduling will vary depending on your particular driving habits, but the 20,000-mile mark is the standard. As it did with Service A, your vehicle’s Maintenance Service Indicator will alert you about a month before your maintenance is due. It will also let you know when you have a few days left and after the recommended maintenance time has passed.

What Does It Include?

Service B is another vehicle checkup that your Mercedes-Bens vehicle will need to receive when it hits 20,000 miles. This service is a bit more intense than Service A, in that it covers many of the same things as Service A with the addition of a few new components as well. When you come into Mercedes-Benz of Honolulu you can expect your Service B required maintenance* to include:

  • Synthetic motor oil replacement
  • ^Oil filter replacement
  • All fluid level checks and corrections (depending on the factory recommended service intervals for the vehicle’s year and model)
  • Cabin dust/combination filter replacement
  • Tire inflation check and correction
  • Inspection of all belts and hoses
  • Inspect and rotate tires
  • Brake component inspection
  • Interior and exterior lamp checks
  • Reset of maintenance counter
  • Mercedes-Benz of Honolulu 32-point inspection and road test
