What Do KEYLESS START® & KEYLESS GO® Do?
- Mercedes-Benz KEYLESS START®: KEYLESS START® allows you to enter your vehicle and press the brake pedal or press the dash-mounted Start/Stop button to turn on the engine. You don’t need to use your key to start the car.
- Mercedes-Benz KEYLESS GO®: KEYLESS GO® takes KEYLESS START® up a notch. For one, you don’t need to fumble through your bag or pocket to find your key to open the door; the system senses the key. Once you enter your vehicle, you can press the brake pedal or press the Start/Stop button to start the car and be on your way.
How Do I Know if My Mercedes-Benz Has KEYLESS GO®?
KEYLESS START® is standard for most new Mercedes-Benz vehicles, especially those considered entry-level luxury models. KEYLESS GO®, on the other hand, is widely available as an optional upgrade. Certain higher tier models, such as the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, come standard with KEYLESS GO®.
